In Experro, localizing a record frees it from inheriting content from the fallback language, granting it independence. Localization enables saving records of the same data in multiple languages, which will be displayed based on the user's locale selection.
This means that content can be updated in multiple languages. For example, if visitors select French as their language, they will see the content in French.
Before Getting Started
Ensure the localization for the content type is enabled, as it is mandatory to localize its records.
Localize a Record
Note: “Update Field and Locale” permissions or a ‘Workspace Admin’ role are required to localize a record. Learn more about the roles and permissions.
To localize a record, follow these steps:
- Go to the workspace and open the Content Library.
- Navigate to the Content Model for which the record needs localization.
- Click on the record to edit its content.

Select the language using the language selector option located in the top-right corner of the page.
- Choose the language in which the translated content needs updating.
- A blank copy of the version will appear for updating content in the selected language.
- Click on the internationalization widget on the right sidebar to view which languages are currently localized and unlocalized.

Click the save button.
Note: When publishing the version, all localized records for that version get published.
Visual Builder
Components of a record can be edited in a specific channel and localized. After saving, the entry will be localized.
Access the content of any channel using the Visual Builder of the Master Language, and edit the components of the specific language using the Visual Builder.
